On Friday, September 22th at 12:30 pm the presentation of the second call for grants of the Barceló Foundation took place.
In June 2016, the Foundation launched the first call for grants for the development of solidarity projects carried out by entities working in Mallorca. The subsidized projects have had a duration of one year and all of them have finished, fulfilling the objectives.
This second call is convened with the aim of helping those who need it most.
The Director General of the Foundation, Rafael Torra, has informed about the deadlines of the call to apply and receive applications. Beginning next Monday, September 25th, when the Foundation will make available on its website the conditions, any entity interested in presenting its project will have a period of one month to deliver the proposal.
Both Rafael Torra and Bartolomé Márquez, Project Advisor of the Barceló Foundation, have placed special emphasis on the importance of knowing the projects closely, through personal visits, which will continue during their development . Also, the fact that 50% of the amount awarded is delivered at the start of the project, helps the entities to start up without problems.
Bartolomé Márquez has stressed that this new call, which has a budget similar to the previous one, has a special novelty as it opens to social actions of all kinds, not limited only to childhood and youth, as it was the case last year.
An evaluation committee will be responsible for studying and analyzing each of the proposals received for the final decision.
The Barceló Foundation hopes to repeat the success of participation for this second call, consolidating its performance in the Balearics.
