This afternoon the inauguration of a new painting exhibition entitled “Kairoi Art Mallorca Collection” took place at the headquarters of the Barceló Foundation
The opening ceremony was attended by the General Director of Culture of the Balearic Government, Joana Català, the President of the Barceló Foundation, Maria Antonia Barceló; the Vice President of the same, Antonia Barceló, the General Director, Rafael Torra and the curator of the exhibition, Pilar Pujol.
The exhibition consists of 38 oil paintings and lithographs by various 20th century artists linked to Mallorca, including works by the renowned Joan Miró, Miquel Barceló, Ramón Nadal and Tarrassó.
It is the first time that the Barceló Foundation presents a selection of a private collection; showing that private collecting has become aware of its importance in supporting the outreach of art and culture, as well as the importance of their funds with the society.
The exhibition can be enjoyed for free until next April 7th . Visiting hours are Monday through Friday from 11:00 to 13:00 and from 17:00 to 19:30 and Saturdays from 11:00 to 13:00.
