The gynecologist specializing in prenatal diagnosis has recently moved to Ethiopia and Uganda to collaborate in the Foundation’s Maternal and Child Health programs.
Last November, Dr. Alonso traveled to Ethiopia with the head of the FARMASOL project, Amelia Fornés, to the clinics of Zizencho, Gambella and the Hospital of Taza. There she was responsible for the training, in the use of the ultrasound system, of 14 midwives and nurses of the center. And in February of this year both traveled to Uganda, to train 5 health professionals from the St. Peter & St. Paul of Padibe Health Center.
From the Barceló Foundation and on behalf of all the beneficiaries of the FARMASOL project, we want to thank Dr. Alonso for her collaboration, generosity and professionalism.
