As part of the AGUAY+ project that we have been developing since 2020, we have just finished drilling the 25 wells planned for 2022 in Uganda.

In order to continue with the drilling and installation of more wells, the hotels of the Barceló group have started their solidarity actions with the support of customers and employees. Concerts have been held at the Barceló Carmen Granada, solidarity verbenas have begun at the Barceló Punta Umbría Beach Resort, Mindfulness Picnic Session Packs have been distributed at the Barceló Punta Umbría Mar, in addition to the solidarity dishes on the menus of several hotels, such as the Barceló Bilbao Nervión. In the Canary Islands-Madeira-Azores-Morocco and Cape Verde, we are developing communication actions and alliances to develop solidarity merchandising that will have a direct impact on the Barceló Foundation’s water actions, and at the Barceló Illetas Albatros we are preparing a charity dinner.

So far we have managed to distribute clean water to more than 50,000 people, with the support of the hotels and the solidarity of customers and employees of the group, we will reach more. From the Foundation we are grateful for the support and we hope to continue working to improve the lives of the most unfortunate.
