Thanks to the initiative of the Barceló Foundation, the company receives recognition for the AGUAY+ project. Since 2020, the Barceló Foundation has been developing the AGUAY+ water and sanitation project, which aims to ensure access to clean water to more than 150.000 people in several African countries.
Currently, 86 wells have been completed in Kenya, Uganda and Burkina Faso, in addition to fountains for schools, construction of latrines and installation of water supply networks.
The AGUAY+ project is a dynamic project that grows every year according to the needs detected and the demand of the local populations.
“Clean water for all” is the aim of the project, where the number of beneficiaries will increase every year, improving the living conditions of the most disadvantaged populations.
