The choir, sponsored by the Barceló Foundation, offered on Saturday a concert for the first time in more than 25 years in the parish church of Lloret de Vistalegre.
On this occasion, the Capella offered a varied program, demonstrating its great versatility, by playing different styles and musical epochs. Within the religious music section, the “Jezu Kriste” by the Czech composer Urbanec and the “Ave Marias” by Schubert and Engelhart were performed, and within the profane music the pieces “Matona Mia” by the great Renaissancist di Lasso and “L’Hymne” and “la Nuit “, by the French baroque composer Rameau standed out.
The recital, directed by José Martínez, had the participation of the soloists Cristina Van Roy, Catalina Borràs and Marga Pons, with a large affluence of people, who due to their enthusiasm and applause forced the Capella to offer three encores.
All the profits obtained were destined to Donants de Sang de Mallorca, entity that organizes the performance.
The next performance of the Capella in this season 2018/2019 will take place on December 7 at 20:30 hours at the church of San Magín de Palma.
