New edition of the “dry wall” course of the Barceló Foundation

2018.09.24 //

One more year the Foundation organizes and gives a training course for unemployed young people with the aim of teaching them the basics of an office so “ours” as “marger”.

This afternoon, at 3:30, the course will start at the Son Barceló farm (Felanitx) with a total of 8 students. Over two weeks, all of them will learn, in a theoretical and practical way, one of the oldest and most characteristic construction techniques of rural Mallorca under the guidance of Marc Cano, specialized trainer and master craftsman.

The aim of the Barceló Foundation, which finances 100% of the course, is to provide skills to all these young people so that in the near future they will be able to access the labor market more easily, taking into account that this type of activity is in high demand on the island.

This is the second of the training courses that the Foundation carries out this 2018 in the agro-environmental sector. It is expected that before the end of the year there will be two more: one on “Technical bases for young farmers” and another on “Qualified Level applicator of phytosanitary products “.
